The person behind Rewire
Rewire is built by Monish Meher, a solo founder and behavioral product engineer based in Nuremberg, Germany. He operates under his sole proprietorship, Meher Technologies, and identifies professionally as a Behavioral Architect: someone who turns behavioral science into software.
He is the sole designer, engineer, researcher, and writer behind every part of Rewire, from the SwiftUI codebase to the Dopamine Score algorithm to the cited research that backs each micro-intervention.
Background
Monish has been shipping software since he was nineteen. His engineering career has been built almost entirely outside the conventional path.
- AiVANTA (Navi Mumbai, India). Founding Engineer, AI Systems. Built the first prototype of the AI Video Generation Platform that helped AiVANTA reach $500k+ ARR. Worked with the OpenAI API and LangChain during the early generative AI days, integrating ElevenLabs and HeyGen for multimodal AI avatar pipelines.
- runITsimple (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). AI Systems Architect and Product Engineer. Architected and deployed RAI, a full enterprise AI core that attaches to a company’s data, mediates between customers and employees, handles multimodal input and output, and runs automations on a self-designed no-code workflow node system. Deployed across AWS EC2 and Lambda.
- Gradworx (London, United Kingdom). Founding Engineer. Built the entire Gradworx.io platform, a next-generation AI-driven graduate hiring product, from scratch. Currently approaching v1.0 with the AI Resume Review feature already shipped on Gemini Flash.
- Source Catalyst (SourceVerse LLP). Co-founder and CTO. Built the mobile platform and automated systems that helped over 10,000 Indian students learn real-world coding, get mentored, and find placements.
Before any of that, he studied Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology in Mumbai, then moved to Germany to pursue an MSc in Autonomy Technologies at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. He left the masters program to build full time after realizing the work he was doing outside school was already moving faster than the work he was being asked to do inside it.
Why Rewire exists
Rewire started as a personal problem.
Monish noticed that the same instant-gratification loops he kept designing as a product engineer were the ones eating his own life: phone scrolling, late nights, restrict-binge eating cycles, the small daily compromises that quietly compound. The mainstream “habit tracker” category did almost nothing to help. Checking a box once a day is not how the brain actually rewires.
So he started reading the underlying research. The Molecule of More by Daniel Z. Lieberman, Nora Volkow’s work on dopamine and addiction, Wendy Wood on habit formation, Alan Marlatt on mindfulness-based relapse prevention, Verbruggen and Logan on inhibitory control, Charles Duhigg on the cue-routine-reward loop. The more he read, the more obvious it became that the gap was not knowledge. The gap was translation. The science was sitting in academic journals while users were downloading apps that gamified streaks without ever touching the underlying neurochemistry.
Rewire is the bridge. Every feature is built from a paper or a clinical protocol, not a designer’s intuition about what looks fun. The Dopamine Score is a quantified behavioral metric, not a vanity number. The micro-interventions are interactive, timed, and each one ships with a “What’s the Science?” modal that cites the research it is based on. The first thirty days of the app follow a deliberate neurochemical arc: dopamine-heavy mechanics in the first week, then progressive feature unlocks tied to emotional readiness, with the slower H&N reward systems (serotonin, oxytocin, endorphins) scaffolded in as the user moves through the trough that kills most behavior change attempts between day twenty-one and day thirty-five.
The goal is simple. Build software that works with human neurochemistry instead of against it.
